An Introduction to Pewter | A "Masters" Lecture

Join presenter Eric Lanka on a journey through the history of pewter. Following an informative PowerPoint presentation, guests will be invited to handle a variety of pewter items, ranging from the late 16th Century through the early 20th Century.

Selected pieces will include engraved Dutch beakers depicting the ascension of William of Orange to the throne of England in 1689, wriggle-work on German tankards, English & American porringers, and more! Guests may also take part in a Q&A following the presentation. 

About The Presenter:

Eric Lanka is the former President of the Pewter Collectors Club of America (PCCA). Prior to representing the PCCA as President, Eric served its National Program Director and is currently active as Regional Advisor to the New England District.
